Deodorizing Tips to Help Sell Your Toronto Condo
If you live in a Toronto condo and are planning on selling it soon, you'll want to make it smell as good as it looks! Condos can be quite confined spaces and it doesn't usually take much for a condo to take on its own distinct smell after a certain amount of time. This is especially true if you're a pet owner. You may not even notice that your condo has a slight odour to it, but you can be assured that others will notice especially if they are viewing your condo as a potentially new home.
Here are a few tips you can use to help deodorize your Toronto condo to make it smell fresh and clean again.
Plants actually absorb a lot of odours in the home and they add a fresh smell to any room. You can also purchase freshly cut flowers that smell beautiful and place them in various rooms in your home to add a touch of nature in both smell and looks.
2. Start baking
There's nothing better than inhaling the aroma of a freshly cooked pie or a new batch of chocolate chip cookies to make a condo smell great. When you find out that viewers are on the way take out the baking pans and whip up a fresh batch. You'll be able to offer them to the people visiting and afterwards you'll be able to enjoy the cookies on your own!
3. Give the carpets a good cleaning
In many cases the odours that are circulating in the room are coming from the carpet. You can usually find good deals here in Toronto for professional carpet cleaners and it won't cost much to get the entire condo done. You might even notice a difference in the smell of your condo once your carpets have been thoroughly cleaned. On top of the cleaning you can also ask the company to deodorize your carpets, any area rugs you may have and your upholstered furniture.
4. Do some painting
It doesn't take much to paint a few walls and this can greatly enhance the smell of your Toronto condo. A freshly painted home, once the intense odour has left the area, smells clean, new and fresh.
5. Use scented candles
Look for candles that smell great but aren't too overwhelming and light them up from time to time. The beautiful odour that emanates from a candle can linger in the air for hours even after the candle has been snuffed out.
If you're not sure whether you're condo has a distinct odour to it, invite a friend or two over and asked for their opinion. While you may not have noticed any noticeable smiles on your own, it's always good to have these things checked out by friends or family that you can trust to give you an honest opinion.
